Turnberry – Ailsa
The Ailsa Course at Turnberry is an 18-hole links on Scotland's Ayrshire coast, with views across the Firth of Clyde toward Ailsa Craig and Arran. Its coastal holes and lighthouse setting make it one of golf's most recognizable landscapes.

The course has hosted four Open Championships, including Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus's 1977 Duel in the Sun. Martin Ebert's later work has reshaped parts of the layout, with further changes in 2025 bringing the seventh green closer to the cliff edge.
Visitors can arrange an Ailsa round through the resort. Specify the course when booking, as Turnberry offers other golf layouts, and check the current playing requirements before travelling to the west coast.
