About Torrey Pines Golf Course – South Course

William F. Bell designed the original course, which opened in 1957, and Rees Jones redesigned the South in 2001 to prepare it for championship golf. Tiger Woods won the 2008 U.S. Open here in a playoff, and Jon Rahm won in 2021.

The South also co-hosts the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open with the North Course. As a City of San Diego facility it offers public tee times, with priority booking for local residents. Specify the South when reserving.
