How This Is Calculated

The Score Differential is the building block of the Handicap Index itself — the same World Handicap System formula (113 ÷ Slope × (Score − Course Rating)) applied to every individual round, before any best-N-of-20 averaging happens. Averaging every differential a creator has posted, rather than just the best few like the official index does, gives a truer sense of a creator's typical performance rather than their ceiling. Lower (more negative) means better relative to par-adjusted difficulty, so someone who consistently plays hard courses well can rank above someone who shoots lower raw numbers at easy ones. Like the Handicap leaderboard, this reads from the same per-round differentials shown on each creator's profile chart, windowed to their most recent 20 qualifying rounds — a creator with a long tracked history is ranked on their recent form, not their very first videos.
