Min. 5 18-hole rounds

How This Is Calculated

This is the simplest stat on the site: raw strokes, averaged across every complete 18-hole stroke-play round a creator has posted — no course-difficulty adjustment at all. That simplicity is also its limitation, which is exactly why it has its own qualifier instead of the site-wide Round Equivalents one: a creator with only three or four 18-hole rounds (even if they also have a dozen 9-hole rounds tracked) can post an unrepresentative average from a small, possibly easy-course sample. Requiring five actual 18-hole rounds keeps the leaderboard from being dominated by a hot short streak. Unlike the Handicap and Avg Score Differential leaderboards, Scoring Average makes no attempt to be fair across different courses — someone who mostly plays short, easy layouts will naturally average lower here than someone who mostly plays championship-length courses, even with an identical skill level. Use this one for "who shoots the lowest numbers," and Avg Score Differential for "who's the better player."
