How This Is Calculated

Average score relative to par on par-4 holes only — typically the largest single bucket of holes on any course (usually ten of eighteen), so this leaderboard is built on more data per creator than the Par 3 or Par 5 versions and tends to move around less round to round. Par 4s reward a mix of skills — off-the-tee distance and accuracy plus approach play — rather than the single dominant skill a par 3 or a reachable par 5 tests, so this number is arguably the closest single-hole-type proxy for all-around ball-striking on the site. Like the other hole-type leaderboards, it's a raw score-vs-par average with no adjustment for how hard a given course's par 4s actually play, so creators who've mostly played longer, more demanding par 4s are working from a tougher baseline than those who haven't.
